艾笛森光电公司总部成立于2001年10月，座落于台湾新北市中和区，拥有多年的研发实务经验，公司专门设计与制造高功率LED与各种半导体照明(Solid State Lighting)应用模组、光纤传输S/PDIF元件、光传感元件等光电产品，为因应市场高速成长的产能需求，于2006年10月在中国东莞横沥镇设立厂房，且投入1300万美元在中国江苏省设立分公司－扬州艾笛森光电有限公司，已于2009年6月份顺利开幕，在两岸三地的布局下，以最先进的厂房与设备，共同为客户提供完整的产品支援与迅速的交期服务。

以技术为主的艾笛森光电其坚强的研发实力深获台湾政府的肯定，在2005年取得100瓦超高功率LED发光元件的研发科专计划，并于2006年12月成功的发表了发光亮度达6000流明的100瓦EdiStar，为台湾 LED技术开创了新的一页。艾笛森光电不但投注大量的资金与人力在研发最新的高功率LED科技，更为半导体照明应用领域建立了L D M S (LIGHTING、DESIGN、MANUFACTURING、SERVICE)，借由T.E.M.O平台，以系统整合的概念，直接协助其客户在开发新产品时，解决LED照明应用上最关键的热、电、机、光等四项技术瓶颈，让客户能轻易、迅速的开发设计出新一代的半导体照明产品。
